Jomtien sits 2km south of its noisy neighbor Pattaya. It is a perfect alternative to busy Pattaya. The focal point and main attraction is Jomtien Beach although, there is lots to enjoy here.
Jomtien Beach is a sandy 6km stretch of gorgeous beach. Here you can soak up the sun or sit under an umbrella in the shade and take in the view of the ocean.
Once you find the perfect spot on the beach you can enjoy local delicacies. The seafood is fantastic and you can order almost any Thai cuisine, ice-cream or refreshments without leaving your lounger.
The beautiful beach is clean and you can have a swim in the sea or try one of the watersports on offer daily.
If you are feeling a bit tired; why not try a traditional massage right there on the beach. This is inexpensive and a perfect way to feel pampered.

Khao Chi Chan “Buddha Mountain”
This 130m carved Buddha image on the limestone rock is in Na Jomtien. This is a great visit for families, friends or solo travellers. It is located in Silverlake which has a winery, vineyards and many other attractions for all ages.
The newest cabaret show in Pattaya/Jomtien is set in the brand new iconic Colosseum building in Jomtien. With various shows in its 1000 plus seat theatre this is a place you must visit.
Nong Nooch Tropical Gardens
Nong Nooch has award winning gardens set in over 2km. sq. of land. Nong Nooch is perfect for a day out with its world famous gardens; including cactus gardens, Stonehennge, an orchid garden to name a few. Here there are also shows, restaurants and lots of activities to keep you entertained. You can rent a bicycle or stroll around all day. Don’t forget a sun hat it can get hot!

Thepprasit Night Market (Friday, Saturday & Sunday)
If you are looking for somewhere a bit more exciting to shop then you’re in luck; every weekend there is a huge night market on Thepprasit Road (Towards Tesco Lotus), this is one of the biggest markets in the region attracting Thais and foreigners alike. With stall upon stall of Thai foods including the classic soups and rice dishes all the way to the more adventurous snacks – Thai insects, grubs and even scorpions.
There is a huge clothes section too. Here you can find your regular holiday T-shirts, traditional Thai outfits and Korean influenced fashion, plus much, much more.
Located next to the Tesco Lotus on SukhumvitRoad the Outlet Mall has discounted international brands of clothing, sportswear and equipment. Here you can pick up some bargains in the air-conditioned stores.
Many people agree that Jomtien has the best restaurants, especially for fine dining at reasonable prices. You can have a great meal in Jomtien without breaking the bank. These are just a few of our favorites.

Bruno’s, Jomtien has a walk-in wine cellar and serves international dishes. For those who love their wine and fine dining this is a must visit. The food is regarded by many as the best in town.

News Steak & Grill
This steak restaurant has a Swedish head chef and he only allows perfection in the kitchen. This place gets busy; it is one of the best steak restaurants in all of Pattaya.
This is a special intimate fine dining restaurant. With only five tables it is advised you book first. They have a special service; they will collect you and take you home after you have finished your meal. If you want to pamper yourself this is the place for you.
There are over 100 bars in the Jomtien area now. Whether you are looking for a “girlie bar”, gentleman’s club or drink in an air-conditioned pub, Jomtien has what you are looking for.
The most popular area is the Rompho Market Bar Complex, next to the market on Jomtien 2nd Road. Here you can chat with the ladies, play pool with friends or enjoy the sport on TV. Being next to the market you will be able to soak up your alcohol with some Thai street food or some fast food.
There are a few pubs/sports bars in Jomtien too. The biggest being Shenanigans on Thapphraya; here they have daily specials on western food and draughts beers.
There is also a growing gay scene mainly based in the Jomtien Complex.
There are other bars around Jomtien, the streets are safe to go explore the area, there are small bars and drinking holes tucked around every corner.
